Since our founding in 2007, a physical location has been our dream. The dream came true Memorial Day weekend 2014 when The Georgia Radio Museum and Hall of Fame opened at the St. Marys Visitors Center at 400 Osborne Street in historic downtown St. Marys, Georgia.
We owe a huge debt of gratitude to St. Marys Tourism Director Angela Wigger, the St. Marys Convention and Visitors Bureau Authority, The St. Marys City Council, and the residents for providing space for us. In return, we provide another reason for visitors to the Georgia Coast to experience St. Marys.
The museum is home to our large collection of antique radios and equipment, Georgia radio historical memorabilia, the interactive Georgia Radio Inductee Wall of Fame, and displays depicting a typical American living room in the 40's with a radio as the centerpiece, as well as an authentic display of a typical radio control room in the 50's.
The museum is open Monday through Saturday 9:00AM until 5:00PM and on Sundays from 12:00PM until 5:00PM. There is no admission charge, just a visitor donation opportunity.
The museum is a self guided tour, however, an hosted tour for larger groups may be arranged.
